LIFE COACHING:
I believe that with guidance, positive psychology and self-belief, you can achieve changes and the life you are looking for. As a highly experienced doctorate educated clinical psychologist and life coach, I use techniques that will help you make the changes you are aiming for.
Trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy, mindfulness and coaching, I can help you reach your full potential. You may want to change one area of you life, or perhaps your life is out of balance. Using coaching and cognitive strategies I will help you regain the balance.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. How long is a session? One hour
2. How many sessions will I need?
There is no set amount, but often people start with 5 sessions before reviewing to see if they want more. There are options to have a one-off session, or a block of sessions at a reduced fee (check out payment section).
3. How do I know where to start?
I will help you if you are not sure, often clients know something is wrong, but are no sure what. Sometimes people come if they are stuck in their lives.
4. Do you look at health issues?
I also help you design your own health coaching plan if you are needing to make changes in that area.
5. What does the coaching entail?
Coaching entails an initial meeting to determine your needs, and to help you with work/life balance, or a particular issue either relating to your life that you want to change. As an accredited coach and Psychologist, I use cognitive behavioural coaching techniques to help you set goals, follow intentions and make significant changes to your life.
6. Where do I do the coaching?
Coaching takes place either at my clinic in Glasgow city centre or The Wellbeing Rooms in Bearsden. Alternatively, I offer a more relaxed and informal approach in a café. These sessions are either on hour or bite-sized half hour sessions depending on your preference.

DANCE/MOVEMENT WORKSHOPS
Based on the Nia technique I combine moves from martial arts, healing arts and dance arts to provide fun and interactive dance/movement workshops. All workshops have a healing aspect and leave you feeling energised and relaxed.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. Do I need previous experience to take part in a dance workshop?
You do not need previous experience as you can copy the moves and they are simple to follow. There is also a freedance section and again no previous experience is needed, just let the music move you.
2. What level of fitness do I need?
The dance and movement based on the NIA techniques can be done at three different levels of intensity. It’s important to listen to your body and move ‘in your body’s way’ as the founder of the Nia Technique, Debbie Rosas, teaches us. It is great for healing as you tune in and move with what feels good, rather than an attitude of ‘no pain no gain’.
3. Can it be done seated?
The classes can be done seated, and having trained in Moving to Heal, I offer various ways of moving to help you move to the music, sense your body’s way and help you to maximise the movement even if your mobility is restricted.
4. Can it help mood and physical wellbeing?
Dance, martial arts and healing arts are all fantastic for mental and physical wellbeing. The movements release brain chemicals that help you to feel good in mind and body. It’s also good for the soul, and participants have described it as lifechanging, movement medicine, magic, their healing journey as well as many other positive benefits.
5. What do I wear?
Comfortable clothes similar to yoga wear, and danced barefoot or dance shoes.
6. How often?
Approximately on a six weekly basis.
